The MIIS Soccer Team has been in the MPSL
since its inception. A regular contender,
MIIS has won four consecutive league championships
as of December 2005, with a record of
42-4-2 during that run. MIIS does not
participate in the MPSL summer league,
but some of its players join other teams
during this period.
The MIIS team consists of veteran players
that have played for the team since its
creation, such as Seamus Dorrian and Oshen
Morphy. The team is mostly made up of
a constant rotation of MIIS students,
faculty, and staff, as well as athletes
from the Monterey community. Many of the
players are with the team for two to four
seasons on average since their studies
only last for two years at the Monterey
Institute. MIIS is fortunate to be able
to draw from a very diverse student body
that brings soccer talent from all over
the world to the Monterey peninsula. Despite
having new players regularly, MIIS has
been able to find talented players and
stay near the top of the league. MIIS
Soccer also has a strong 12th player,
a regular crowd that supports the team
during every game.
The Monterey Institute of International Studies,

60 countries. Further information about
